Problem 1 - getting the "non-HP chip error".  Been using the non-HP cartridges, and just got the error after replacing one of them.  Need a solution.

Problem 2 - your "Contact Us" page is giving a 400 error and doesn't work.

Hi @Kitmoni,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your printer cartridges. We always recommend using genuine HP ink cartridges.

I see that you have an issue using non-HP ink cartridges on your printer.

Please refer to the below links for more information related to your issue.

If you are using generic or Non HP ink cartridges and the above links do not help. You will have to contact the generic ink cartridge manufacturer to assist you further with it or you will have to use genuine HP ink cartridges to resume printing.

Thank you for the response.  It didn't really address my concern, the answers all seem to say "too bad, only use our cartridges".  Feels like that should be clearly disclosed at purchase (we reserve the right to dynamically force you into using our cartridges at 4x the cost).  In the technology business, the manufacturers that promote interoperability with their competitors win big.  I spent time researching how to downgrade my firmware, or have the manufacturer of my cartridges provide an updated chip that will work - instead of being productive using your product.  WISETA cartridges are high quality, and 1/4 the cost of HP cartridges.  The vendor is sending me new cartridges with updated chips [at no cost], and I will disable the firmware update feature.  If I get stuck again, I'll look at changing vendors.  The cost per page to stay with HP only cartridges ($120 each vs $140 for 4 with others) is higher than the market.  I appreciate your quick response.
