Have an Envy 5530 and all of a sudden it won't print at the very top or bottom even though I've set margins to the minimum.

@Susan-144, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy 5530 is having issues printing at the very top or bottom of the page despite setting the margins to the minimum, here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your print settings in the software you're using (e.g., Word, Adobe Reader) are correctly configured to allow minimal margins. Sometimes, software settings can override printer settings.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Outdated printer drivers can cause various issues. Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed. You can download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support Drivers Page.

Printer Settings Adjustment:

  • Access the printer settings directly from the printer panel. Check if there is an option to adjust the print area or margins directly on the printer.

Print Alignment Calibration:

  • Run a print head alignment. Misalignment can cause issues with print margins.
    • Go to the printer menu: Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Paper Size and Type:

  • Ensure you are selecting the correct paper size and type. Sometimes incorrect paper settings can affect how margins are handled.

Print Borderless:

  • If your document requires printing to the very edge of the paper, consider using the "borderless" printing option if available.
    • This can usually be found within the printer properties dialog in the print menu.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
