I need to edit PDF documents. Does my HP Envy 5660 printer come with OCR software and if so how do I access the software? If not, is there a free download that is safe and compatible with my system and printer? I do not use the OCR a lot but do have a need for it. Thanks.

Hi,
The software provided for your device does not include OCR functionality
As you may find listed within the Scan file format section, text files as TXT or RTF are not supported by the HP software:

You may use any 3rd part OCR solution to scan as editable text.
NAPS2 is a freeware utility, offiring such capabilities:

If you have Microsoft Office suite there is a good chance the office suite provide this kind of capabilities:
