Hi @andreandreander,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I am afraid there is option to downgrade the firmware on your printer.

HP does not recommend the use of non-HP inks. It may or may not work.

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

The third party ink cartridges will work.

But there are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer.

You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.

If the issue persists, refer to - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_7470520-7449625-16

HP protects you from fake printing supplies that damage your printer: https://www.hp.com/us-en/cartridge/anti-counterfeit.html

You may purchase replacement cartridges and other supplies from the HP Store or local retailers.

My apologies for the typo error.

I meant there is "NO" option to downgrade the firmware on your printer.

Thanks!
