HP Deskjet F2210 All-in-One Printer/USB.
The only way to ON/OFF is to unplug power cord. I tried lot of suggestions from HP virtual support. Resetting, unplugging, uninstalling/reinstalling drivers and programs. Nothing worked. But only to take it apart as far as needed to get to the circuit board for the printer controls and unplugging it and plugging it back in. What I observed is lights randomly flashing, then stop and after that the ON/OFF button works just fine. Then I would assemble the rest of printer back, while it was plugged in, so it wouldn't all of a sudden stop working. The next day I attempt to turn it on, but it would not. So, i would have to unplug it and wait for a minute and plug it back in to turn it on, and once again, unplug it to shut it off. So here I am, back at the drawing board. I did that twice just to see if it does it again, and of course it did. A couple of things I forgot to mention. I noticed something new; it seems to go in some kind of a standby mode but remains on, when i leave it plugged in. How I know that? When it's on, all of the buttons are lip up, but in standby, only ON/OFF button is on. And also, if i push any other buttons it will get out of the standby. When I use Product Diagnostic Tool from HP, it's not able to find it. Everything else on the printer works just fine. All of this is very strange. If anyone has suggestions to try something else, please let me know. Now I am just curious if somehow the setting got changed for it to act different.

Hi @akafour7,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Deskjet F2210 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Hello. I have tried what you suggested, unfortunately it did not work . I checked the power cord with external battery and the specs are matching to the printer. I do appreciate the effort. Thanks again. Have a good one
