My HP Officejet 9015e All-in-One printer has been working fine but recently, when I select double-sided printing, the text start 3.5cm down from the top of every odd-numbered page (so the footer text is a few mm from the bottom edge of the paper). Even-numbered pages are OK. I've checked the printer settings and preferences and all are correct. Can anyone help?

Hi @teacherkim,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing formatting issues with your HP Officejet 9015e when printing double-sided pages, there are a few potential solutions you can try.
- Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the official HP website and download the most recent drivers for your printer model. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
- Check Software Settings: Verify that the settings in the software you are using to print are correct. For example, if you are using Microsoft Word, go to the "Layout" or "Page Setup" options and make sure that the margins and other settings are configured correctly.
- Printer Preferences: Double-check the printer preferences on your computer. Ensure that the paper size, orientation, and other settings match your intended print job. Sometimes, a mismatch in these settings can lead to formatting problems.
- Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website. Firmware updates can address various issues, including printing problems.
- Print Preview: Use the print preview option before sending the document to the printer. This allows you to see how the pages will be printed and identify any formatting issues before the actual printing process.
- Print a Test Page: Print a test page to see if the issue persists. This can help you determine whether the problem is specific to the document or if it's a more general printer issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Not sure if this model has it but check under either the paper settings or print quality settings to see if there is a tray alignment routine which allows you to shift the image on the paper. Often from factory the Top of Form setting for front and back of page will vary and need to be aligned.
