Tried to restart my Office Jet Pro 9018 because it wouldn't scan. Now I'm stuck on "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink" but it's already registered.

I was finally able to connect my printer to the internet. (I still have no idea why it disconnected from the internet. It was all working a few weeks ago with no changes on my part.) I restarted the printer and the computer several times and eventually it behaved differently. I have no explanation for that.

My all-in-one now prints and copies, BUT it still doesn't scan. I'm exhausted by the process of trying to find help, so I've ordered a new scanner which is NOT an HP product. Before long, I'll have to buy another printer, and that will also NOT be an HP product.

This issue, (which I'm sure wasn't anything I did), has been much too difficult. It was too hard to connect with an HP Rep and too hard to communicate with him. I've received at least 50 messages on this board every day that had NOTHING to do with my problem. My inbox has been flooded with messages I had to delete without even bothering to open, and I never was able to resolve the initial problem of not being able to scan, even after I followed the rep's  instructions.

I'm DONE!

Well, the computer says the printer is ready, but it will only print test pages. I've spent way too much time on this and am fed up. Getting a new printer/scanner and it WON'T BE HP!
