OfficeJet 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I recently encountered a trouble where my OfficeJet 3830 won't physically print even if it is showing up as a normal printing procedure in the printer's panel. I really have no idea what actually happened but it just looks the printer won't take instruction from my PC. This happened to my PC only and won't print via either USB or wireless. If I swap to other computers the printer works fine. I have Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC installed and please feel free to leave a post if you need more info to take a look. Thanks in advance!

@Desolate_Puppy, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

What is the error you get while trying to print?

If the printer is working fine when connected to other computers, it means the printer is working fine. There could be an issue with the OS of your computer as it is a enterprise version, check the limitations or restrictions.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC(Wireless connectivity)

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
