OfficeJet 4630

printer: OfficeJet 4630

OS: Win10 x64

connection: wifi

hi all,

i don't get this officejet 4630 to print on a win10 x64 computer. the printer status in windows is just "warning" (or something similar. it's not the english windows version). and every print i try is put in the printer queue where nothing happens.

BUT other tools like the HP printer doctor are able to print a test page. just not via windows.

it is connected to the router via wifi and this seems to work. the blue connection LED is on and i see the printer in the router config. i can also ping it from the computer.

what i tried:

- new driver, new firmware

- factory reset the printer ("semi-full reset")

- removing the printer from windows

- stopping the firewall temporarily

nothing helped so far. what else can i do?

i would love to have a LOG file where i can see an actual error. or a removal tool to completely remove all HP stuff from the computer and install the driver freshly. or of course any other beautiful idea from you guys that could help 🙂

thanks and cheers,

ben
