Officejet 7612
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I try to Print from ANY Application, I do not get the option to select A3 Paper. I've Tried Uninstalling/Re-installing the printer. Restarting Printer & PC and Have Followed all the suggestions on the Forum with no success.

I've tried to print from My Phone and it DOES give me the option of A3 so this is my workaround.

It seems that the Driver Available For this printer is not correct....?

please advise how to sort this.

Thanks

MIke

Hi Mike,

Please try adding an alternate driver and check if that work for you:

  • From the Control Panel, click View Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your existing HP Officejet Pro 7610 Series icon and select Printer Properties.
  • Within the Ports tab, take note of the used port and close that windows (Be sure not to change the checked port)
  • Click Add Printer.
  • Click the Printer that I want isn't listed.
  • Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and press Next.
  • Within the use and existing port drop-down, select the same port as used by your printer and press Next.
  • Select HP
  • Select the HP Officejet Pro K850 model from the Printers list.
Note: if the model is not listed, press Windows Update and allow it some time to complete (may take up to 10-15 minutes), then select it from the list.

Complete the Wizard by naming the printer as you like, and then try printing an A3 document using the added print queue.

Please let me know if that helps,

Shlomi

Thanks for the info. I've actually completely uninstalled the printer then reinstalled it from the original CD and it is now letting me print A3 again. I've also set up Windows to not update drivers automatically so hopefully it will keep working for a while. I'll keep this info and try it when Windows next updates my drivers (as I know it will!). Thanks Again.

As an aside, This is clearly an issue with the updated drivers provided by HP which should be pretty easy for them to fix. As they clearly don't want to fix the problem, could this be a marketing ploy to make users buy new printers...? Just a thought!
