Hi @WW2196,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with remote printing using the HP Smart app despite the printer showing as ready, follow these troubleshooting steps:

Restart Devices

  • Turn off your HP OfficeJet 8015e and your computer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on.
  • Restart your computer.

Remove and Re-add Printer

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Remove the printer by clicking on its icon and selecting “Forget this printer.”
  • Click on Add Printer to re-add the printer.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Open the HP Smart app, go to the advanced settings, and check for firmware updates.
  • Install any available updates and restart the printer.

Try a Wired Connection

  • If possible, connect the printer to the router using an Ethernet cable to check if the issue persists when using a wired connection.

Print a Test Page via HP Smart

  • In the HP Smart app, select Print a Test Page from the printer settings to see if the issue is resolved.

Clear Print Queue

  • Check the print queue for any stuck jobs and clear them to prevent any backlog issues.

Take care and have an amazing day!
