Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have an OfficeJet 8710 that has historically not had issues printing on #10 envelopes from MS Word. Over the last year or 2 machines in my house start having problems with printing triangles across the top and garbage "font" for the address. Same results with Office 2013 or Office 365 from both Windows 10 or 11. The printer firmware is current as is the printer drivers. Attached is a sample. I have tried printing old files saved from years past, and creating new Word docs to print the same. Printer prints fine in every other way I use it. Any suggestions? Thank you.scan of envelopescan of envelope

Welcome to the HP Community --

Printer might be dirty -- the image does appear to show a "not flat" envelope.

Is the wrinkled appearance a result of the envelope having traveled through the printer?

Curious.

If the envelopes are not starting out "flat", try a different set of envelopes.

This document explains how to clean the printer:

No Joy?

After a good cleaning of the rollers, perhaps try printing the envelope manually.

If still "sketchy" try printing on plain paper.

No Joy?

This is akin to the cleaning but more directed at the ink quality.

Try a "Reset" / hard Restart

HP printer turns off unexpectedly or repeatedly

Thank you for the suggestions. I will try all your suggestions, it just might take me a day or two to get to it and reply. When printing on plain paper (20 lb, big box store variety), I have no issues. I will also look at the envelopes themselves and try some other type/brand. The envelopes are flat and smooth going into the paper tray. The printer is also printing that line of triangles across the top with no explanation, along with the "funky font".
