I have an OfficeJet Pro 7740 with 2 trays, letter and tabloid (11x17). Had to replace the hard drive in my Dell VPro laptop and now the only paper size options i can find are letter and A4. How do I print to 11x17?

@jblair1017, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your OfficeJet Pro 7740!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your printer driver might have defaulted to a basic version that doesn’t support all paper sizes. Try these steps:
Check the Printer Driver:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 and select Printer Properties.
Under the General or Advanced tab, check if the driver listed is HP Smart or a generic driver. If it is, you’ll need the full-feature driver.
Install the Full-Feature HP Driver:
Head to the HP Support website and search for the OfficeJet Pro 7740.
Download and install the Full Feature Software and Driver for your operating system.
Restart your laptop and try printing again.
Manually Add 11x17 as a Paper Size:
Open Printers & Scanners from the Windows settings.
Click your printer > Manage > Printing Preferences.
Under Paper/Quality, check if you can add or select 11x17.
Try a Test Print from Another App:
Open an application like Word or Adobe Reader.
Go to Print > Paper Size and see if 11x17 appears.
Let me know if any of these steps help! If the option is still missing, we can dig a little deeper. 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
