Hi @Galax2000,

If you need to perform a factory reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8100 printer and you do not remember the administrator password, you can perform a semi-full reset, which can restore the printer's settings.

Here are the steps to perform a semi-full reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8100:

  1. Turn off the Printer: Make sure the printer is completely turned off by pressing the power button.
  2. Disconnect the Power: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for at least 60 seconds.
  3. Press and Hold the Buttons: While unplugging the power cord, press and hold the Cancel button (the button with a red symbol) and the Wireless button (indicated by blue light).
  4. Reconnect the Power: While still holding the buttons, plug the power cord back into the printer. Keep holding the buttons for about 15 to 20 seconds until you see the screen lighting up or showing some indication of reset.
  5. Release the Buttons: After the printer responds, release the buttons.
  6. Complete the Reset: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.

After this semi-full reset, your printer will be restored to its default factory settings. Note that this will remove all previously configured settings, including network settings, and you will have to set it up again.
