Hi,

The installation detects the Printer connected to the home network but ultimately fails and does not complete.

See the following image:

I'm not sure where to go from here. I already tried installing and re-installing a handful of times.

Thank you

X

@Xcalibur1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Do you have any Anti-virus software installed on your PC?
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver or connectivity issues

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the above steps do not help, try resetting the printer's network settings and reconnect.

Refer to the steps mentioned in this document.

Let me know how this goes.

Hello Kumar,

Sorry for the delay.

The same happens with Scan Doctor.

It detects the Printer, downloads the proper drivers and when the installation starts it fails to install the software.

I dont recall any antivirus software but I will check again.

If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-6830-e-all-in-one-printe... to download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Try to print.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

Hi,

I deleted the drivers per your instructions.

Unfortunately the same issue persists.

The installation ultimately fails to go through.

Any chance I can ask for some remote hands on?

Thanks

Gil
