Just purchased 7110 to replace old 9800. For some reason there is no ability to create custom paper sizes (12x18).
I've completely uninstalled / reinstalled printer and drivers, also upgraded firmware. Tried ethernet network and usb connection. No luck. Saw a couple of posts that said install 9800 driver (I'm going to use 10 year old driver on new printer?).
Others said you only get custom 12x18 on Mac (Seriously HP?). So where is the Driver HP and is / was there even an update for Windows10 OS? I cannot believe that this issue has not been solved properly on a Printer that's now been out for a couple of years. Would appreciate a viable solution. Thanks for any help as the only reason I purchased this was for the advertised ability to print 12x18!

Hi,
12 x 18 inches is a supported custom size for your printer, not a standard paper size.
As Custom Paper sizes are only supported for your printer on Mac OS and not on MS Windows you may use an Alternate driver to set such a custom size.
To Setup an Alternate driver follow these steps:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Click Add Printer.
- Click 'The printer that I want isn't listed'.
- Select the last option to setup a local printer or a Manual network printer.
- Keep the port as LPT1 and press Next.
- Select HP from the left pane.
- Locate and select the HP Officejet Pro K850 printer from the right pane.
Note: if no such model is listed press Windows Update, allow the process several moments to complete and then select the model once the list re-appear. - Follow the steps to complete the wizard.
- Next right click the existing 7110 printer and select Printer Properties.
- Within the Ports tab take a note of the port selected for your printer and close that dialog.
- Right click the added K850 printer and select Printer Properties.
- Within the Ports tab select the same port as used by the 7110.
Within the K850 preferences ope the Paper/Quality tab, press the Custom button and add the required size.
Type a required name, set the size and press Save.
Confirm the changes, completely close the Preferences screen, open the Printing Preferences again and the added size will be listed for selection.
