I bought this printer and it came without ink cartridges. I bought hp ink cartridges but when I switch the printer on it says use  setup cartridges that came with your printer. 

Is there a way I can fix this or do I need to return the printer to the shop?

@Mmi2, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

We can perform an OOB reset to bypass the use of setup inks or you may return it to the store and get a replacement. 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
