@SuperiorComfort, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Officejet 8130e.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

If you're experiencing issues with page margins being out of range when printing from Excel and Word on your HP OfficeJet 8130e, here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:

  1. Check Page Setup:

    • In Microsoft Excel or Word, go to File > Print.
    • Choose your printer and select Page Setup.
    • Verify that the margins are set correctly in the Margins tab. Standard margin settings such as 1 inch (2.54 cm) for top, bottom, left, and right are common defaults.
  2. Select Paper Source:

    • Just like in the PDF fix, ensure that the paper source is set correctly.
    • Choose the specific tray (Tray 1, Tray 2, etc.) instead of "Automatic" to ensure consistent tray selection.
  3. Adjust Paper Size and Type:

    • Ensure the paper size matches the actual size loaded in the printer (e.g., A4, Letter) in both the printer settings and within Excel or Word.
    • Go to File > Print > Printer Properties and check the paper type setting.
  4. Use Printer Properties:

    • In the printer properties, check if there are any custom scaling options enabled that might affect printing.
    • Ensure that "Scale to fit paper" or similar settings are unchecked if you want the print to be 1:1 with your document layout.
  5. Check for Software Updates:

    • Ensure both Microsoft Office and your printer drivers are up to date, as updates can fix compatibility issues.
  6. Reset Printer Settings:

    • If issues persist, try resetting the printer settings to default. This will remove any custom adjustments that might be causing issues.
  7. Test Print:

    • After making these adjustments, print a test page to ensure the margins align as expected.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
