The printer prints fine on a wired network.  But running the firmware update with the firewall disabled fails to locate the printer.  There are no options to direct the software to the correct location.  The IP address for the printer is 192.168.1.100.  Also tried connecting to the printer using Scan Doctor again without success.  Scan Doctor lists all the potential printers correctly, but on selecting the desired printer it fails to connect.  Any suggestions?

Chimney_83,

Thank you for your help.  I was able to install the firmware using a usb cable.

However, I tried to follow directions on the printed documentation that came with the printer.  And I spent a couple of hours trying to get the "All apps" button to appear.  Finally discovered that it has since been removed from  Windows 10.   :LaughingTears:

I did not have to perform a factory reset.

Greetings @daryn_dolittle,

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to update the firmware on the printer, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Request you to update the firmware on the printer only over USB connection.

If the issue persists, please perform a factory reset on the printer and reconfigure the printer.

Please click here for the user guide of your printer.

Refer to page number 144 for assistance in performing a factory default.

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5. Touch Restore.

Keep me posted.
