Officejet 8740 All-In-One- Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 8740 Officejet printer just stopped printing. I went through several steps, including Uninstalling the software and rebooting several times and still got Your Printer is in an Error State?

I finally went through and removed any reference to HP printers on my PC (Win 10 x64Bit) including the registry.  Then set the printer back to default settings and reinstalled the software as a clean install.  When I went to print, it again gave me Printer is in an error state: WSD: ehcyctdbmopdctygyb bekweyuyh6782n39swh or something like that.

I then opened up the print and scan doctor and ran through the steps and got the same result. However, after I tried to print the test page from the Print Doctor and it failed, it gave me a second choice to try printing a test page from the internal printer and it printed a test page?

Someone please tell me what to do from here. I am losing my mind.

Thanks,

Kitchdog

The only way I can get the printer to print is to use the browser interface and log directly into the printer. 😞
