I have just installed a fresh Win10-64 bit on a new SSD-drive. Before the Officejet K7100 worked fine on the same OS, but now the system won't recognice the printer.
Hewlet Packhardt hasn't buthered offering a win10 driver for this printer, and I can't find a Micorsoft basic driver either.
Should I ditch the printer and by another from a compagny, that lives up to the software progress, or does someone have a clever solution?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand, your printer does not recognize the printer,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
What is the error message while trying to print?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
How is your printer and PC connected?
Let's perform root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP OfficeJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Let me know how this goes,
Cheers!
