When I tried to print something prior, I recieved a few pop-ups that says that there's issues, with my mac thinking that it's malware. I reached out to apple and they suggested to delete the software and then install it again, but it was missing software. We tried to look for the driver, but it says no drivers were found. I'm not sure how to go about this. Please help.

HP Officejet 4500 driver for macOS 10.11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

 

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
