I have had this machine for many years.

I notice recently, that I cannot execute any functions from the HP software. I can ping the printer, I can connect to its embedded homepage, I can print a Windows test page. Yet, the HP functionality seems to be kaput. The software says it cannot find the printer, yet I type in the LAN address.

What gives?
