OfficeJet Pro 8024
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just installed new OfficeJet 8024, replacing an HP Officejet 8100e, which works fine.

When I try to print an email, from Outlook, the print option screen appears but Outlook crashes  almost immediately.

If you are able to print from other applications and only have issues with outlook it could be an application issue.

Check for any updates for Outlook or you can also reinstall the application and try printing.

Additionally, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for your response.

I have already updated the printer firmware to the latest version, and re-installed the HP printer software several times.

As well as getting errors when trying to print emails, I also sometimes get errors when trying to print a document. The whole software solution is extremely "flakey" and unstable.

All my applications worked fine with my old printer, and still do,  an HP 8100e, so there is nothing wrong with my Windows or Office installation.

Can you provide am email address and phone number where I can request a full refund. This printer (mostly its software) is not fit for purpose. Incidentally, my 7 year old HP 8100e is far superior as a printer, and my 11 year old Canon scanner provides much superior scans than the 8024. Progress? I think not. Compatible with Winows 10 - no way!

P.S. I am an IT professional and bitterly disappointed with my purchase.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
