Have a Windows 11 PRO desktop connected to a Netgear router.
Did have an Officejet Pro 8100 connected to a switch that is connected to the router. Now it is connected to the computer.
Have been having problems with the 8100 not being seen when I print from Word or Excel or Paint or other programs. I was having to unplug the network cable & power cord from the 8100, plug those two back in to get printing done.
I thought that there was something wrong with the printer software. So I went to Control Panel and deleted the 8100 & then went to "Programs and Features", then remove all occurrences in "Program" and "X86 Program". Restarted computer. Went to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-officejet-pro-8100-eprinter-series-n811/model/4323213?sku=CM... for the HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter series - N811 Full Feature Software and Driver which I have started to install. The program gets to “Installing” showing a progress bar. It has been over 30 minutes and nothing is happening. Install program name is Full_Webpack-1323-OJ8100_Full_Webpack.exe.
HPSmart did not what to find the Officejet Pro 8100. HPSmart would show it offline also.
