I have downloaded and run HP's latest software for my Officejet Pro 8625. It runs and then because I do not use Internet Explorer it says to finish setting up on my smartphone, which I have done. I can now print, scan, etc. off m smartphone, but every time I try to print, scan etc off my computer it takes me to "setup" and I go around in circles. Anyone have a work around?
Thank you! David

Hi @DMChaff,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling HP Smart?
- is the printer and the PC connected to the same router?
- Do you have a dual-band router?
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
While you respond to that, please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.
Step 1:Uninstall HP Smart from your PC
Step 2: Install all the available Windows updates
- If it is been a while since you updated your Windows, that is the main reason why Windows says your HP printer driver is unavailable. Here are the steps how to do a Windows Update to install all accessible operating system updates.
- If you are accessing Windows 10, then these steps are for you.
- Hit the Start menu and write an update. After that, click on the “Check for updates” option.
- Tap on the “Check for updates” option.
- After clicking on that option, Windows will install the updates automatically.
- When Windows completes all its updates, start your computer again and attempt to print a file to check if your printer works.
Step 3: Try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Step 4: Reinstall HP Smart
If the issue persists, then go ahead and install the full feature driver from this Link and then try to add the printer to your PC
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
