Product: Officejet Pro 9010 All-in-one Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 PRO (64-bit)

I have used this device for more than 2 years with no problems until a Windows update in July this year (see previous posts)

The device is connected to my wireless network at home. I have tried the entire 123hp.com setup process numerous times but repeatedly, when I try to add the printer to my system, the message comes back "Driver is unavailable".

The scanning & fax functions are added, but not the Print function (I can scan from my computer (HP Laptop) to the printer but cannot print either directly or via HP Smart).  My family and I can print to the printer from our iPhones using HP Smart.

There is no PRINT Button in the embedded Web Server page - should there be one?

The online support and the "HP Smart" app suggested actions to resolve have not been successful to date

I prefer not to have to do a reinstall of Windows nor can I roll back the Windows updates that have been applied since July

Thanks

Hi @Macca69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be when a reliable printer suddenly stops working after a Windows update, especially when your family can still print from their phones, but your own laptop refuses to cooperate.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the “Driver is unavailable” issue on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer after the July Windows 11 update:

1. Uninstall Existing HP Software and Drivers

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Uninstall HP Smart and any other HP printer-related software.
  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and choose Remove Device.

2. Restart Your Computer

3. Download and Install the Latest Drivers

4. Reconnect the Printer

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Use HP Smart to add the printer again. If prompted, sign in with your HP account.

5. Check for Windows Update Conflicts

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
