Solved!

Officejet pro 6830 fails to print

HP Recommended
HP OFFICEJET PRO 6830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Officejet pro 6830 will not print.  It WILL do an internal print.  On the PRINTER tab. I keep getting ERROR.  I tried to delete and reload the driver, went in to REGEDIT, etc etc.  Any ideas how to fix this?  The HP web site had me load all sorts of software regarding ink levels etc but the laptop (HP LAPTOP) will not print to the 6830.   BTW, my LENOVO desktop prints fine so I am pretty sure that it is NOT the printer.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP support community.

This seems to be a driver issue, where did you download and install the printer driver?

Meanwhile:-

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install latest printer full feature driver
