Help please… I recently purchased a new 2024 MacBook Pro, and now my HP Officejet 4360 is doing strange things. (Ie printing from some applications like “Apple Mail” or some pdfs causes all text within a document to disappear when printing.

This is only an issue with my new MacBook Pro running OS Sonoma (14.3.1). Other devices can print the same documents without missing text.

I tried downloading the newest drivers and software from Hp.com but my antivirus software has detected numerous malware in the download. Because of this, some of download is quarantined and won’t work properly.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Don’t want to “turn off” virus protection to download from hp; especially is that software contains malware or viruses.

Other features (ie scanning) work fine. It’s just that all apple mail and several pdf files will not print any text. Though if I print from legacy devices or iPhone, everything prints correctly.

Assuming has to do with faulty, outdated driver or software that is not compatible with Mac OS 14.3.1.

Any useful thoughts?
