I don't mean to hijack your question, but can I ask why you want to go backwards. There have been so many improvements in security and operation with newer firmware, going backwards is ill-advised. I did see an archived post on here last week that had a link to an FTP site, you might want to have a search.  If you are stuck and cannot find it, PM me and I can upload to a dropbox folder for you. I should have the revision in storage.

Repairatrooper,  I am not the person that originally asked but I will tell you why I would like to go backward.  I bought a MFP M281fdw last year and it worked great.  When the original toner cartridges were empty, they wanted $200 each to replace them.  The printer was less than $400.  I decided to use another supplier and the replacement cartridges worked great.  The print quality was great and they were about 1/3 of the cost of ORIGINAL HP cartridges.  My printer did an auto firmware update and suddenly the non hp cartridges are causing a "supply memory error".  When I put the old hp cartridges back in it works just fine.  I would like to go back before the current firmware and see if that problem goes away.
