p4015
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I've been through all the suggested videos but can't get my old but lovely p4015 to even be visible on my Mac now I've updated to Monterey.

It's plugged in via USB
I've tried downloading the HP drivers from Apple but that doesn't list the p4015 as a supported device, and I can't download the p4015 drivers I found on the internet  - whilst I can get past apple not wanting to open the package by overriding security, it then says there is no driver

Please help a very frustrated person

Hi @Maryregw ,

1. First things first,  you must check the USB Cable 2.0 is fairly new and in good condition.

2. Next try to install  the next software package for Laserjet older models:

3. Then plug your Laserjet printer to USB port in your Mac notebook and restart the printer,

also restart your Mac computer.

4. And then follow the steps to install printer from next video:

5. If your printer doesn´t show up then go to Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.

I hope these steps works for your printer ! 😌

FerRX - This didn't work, just like following all of your previous helpful and detailed posts on the topic didn't work.

Until my wonderful partner stepped in because I was getting to the stage of considering buying a windows machine and punching peripherals.  And discovered that I was plugging my brand new USB Cable (tested on a different printer) into the Ethernet hole ...

Once I fixed that, this worked perfectly, so thank you so much for the advice and your patience...
