Same issue. OfficeJet Pro 8740 and Mac Ventura. 
Scan from printer to computer creates blank page.

Has anyone found a solution?  Sounds like a Ventura problem.

Download and install the HP Smart app

Here is the link:- Click here

 

Update the Mac

  1. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen:
    • Choose System Settings. Then click General in the sidebar and Software Update on the right.
    • Or choose System Preferences. Then click Software Update.

Update the printer firmware 

Here are the steps:- Click here

Which application are you using to scan?

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

I was finally able to update the drivers yesterday and I was then able to scan directly from the printer to my computer.  

 

Thanks for asking. 

 

I still got the message below.  The document printed successfully so "no harm, no foul."  I will have to see if this is a problem with actual printing.
