Hi @z970402

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the issue so clearly—and I’m truly sorry your printing process is being blocked by spooler and configuration errors. These interruptions can be especially frustrating when everything else seems ready to go.

Let’s walk through a focused recovery to restore smooth printing.

Step-by-Step: Fix Print Spooler Error 0x000006ba and Configuration Error 0x800706ba

1. Restart the Print Spooler Service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
  • Scroll down and locate Print Spooler
  • Right-click > Restart
  • If it’s not running, right-click > Start

This reactivates the background service that manages print jobs.

2. Set Spooler to Start Automatically

  • In the same Print Spooler Properties window:
    • Set Startup type to Automatic
    • Click Apply and OK

This ensures the service starts with Windows every time.

3. Run HP App Diagnostics

  • Open the HP App on your PC
  • Go to Support > Printer Diagnostics
  • Run the Print Troubleshooter and Configuration Repair

These tools can detect and fix spooler-related issues and driver mismatches.

4. Reinstall the Printer Driver

Visit: HP Printer Drivers and Software

Enter your printer model and download the Full Feature Software and Driver

Uninstall the existing printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners

Restart your PC and install the downloaded driver

This refreshes the configuration and resolves error 0x800706ba.

5. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update
  • Install all pending updates, especially under Optional updates > Driver updates

Updates often include spooler fixes and printer compatibility improvements.

Let me know how the system responds after restarting the spooler and reinstalling the driver. If needed, I can guide you through preparing a clean install or checking spooler dependencies.

You're doing everything right—this sequence should help restore reliable printing.
