I am trying to print a photo from my Windows 11 computer using the HP Smart Ap. I want the photo to fit the 5" X 7" photo paper I selected, but I cannot find the Fit to Page option. It is not in the Scaling Tab. The photo only fills about 25% of the 5" X 7" photo paper. Please help me expand the photo to the whole page.

@Dicranurus,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

Adjust in HP Smart App

  1. Open HP Smart and select your photo to print.
  2. Click Print and check the Print Preview.
  3. Look for an option like Resize, Scale, or Fit to Page (may be under More settings).
  4. If you see Fill Page, Borderless, or Fit to Page, enable it.
  5. Click Print and check the result.

Print from Windows Photo Viewer

If HP Smart does not allow scaling, try printing through Windows Photos:

  1. Right-click the photo file and choose Open With > Photos.
  2. Click the Print icon (Ctrl + P).
  3. Under Paper Size, select 5 x 7 in.
  4. Under Fit or Scaling, select Fill Page or Fit to Frame.
  5. Make sure Borderless Printing is enabled (if supported by the printer).
  6. Click Print.

Change Printer Settings in Windows

  1. Press Windows + R, type control printers, and hit Enter.
  2. Right-click your HP printer and choose Printing Preferences.
  3. Look for Paper Size and set it to 5" x 7".
  4. Under Scaling, choose Fit to Page or Borderless.
  5. Click Apply and OK, then try printing again.

None of the options you listed work. I found nothing anywhere that said Fit to Page. I found the menus you listed but nothing that allowed me to fit the photo to the page.

Hey @Dicranurus,

Thank you for your response

Have you updated the printer’s firmware and drivers? If not, please visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest updates.

Next, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP Smart app to see if that resolves the issue.

Also, you may refer to these guides:

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

If this reply nailed it, mark it as the "Accepted Solution"—it’s like a spotlight for future problem solvers.  And clicking 'yes' under 'Was this reply helpful?' is the cherry 🍒 on top of the solution sundae. Sharing is caring! 💕

I downloaded and installed firmware and drivers. Uninstalled the HP Smart App and reinstalled and set up printer. I still do not have the option to fit to paper anywhere in the HP Smart App.

Hey @Dicranurus,

Have you checked the guides that I have shared with you? They contain the information to customize the print size depending on your needs.
