Hi @Cari70

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand how frustrating it can be when a print job becomes stuck in the queue and cannot be deleted, especially when it is marked in red. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Could you please share me the below details.

  • The exact HP printer model.
  • Whether you are printing from a Windows PC, Mac, or mobile device.
  • If all print jobs are stuck or only a specific document.

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

  1. Cancel all pending print jobs from the print queue.
  2. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable for 60 seconds.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. On Windows:
  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Locate Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete any files in that folder.
  • Return to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

Reconnect and power on the printer, then try printing a test page.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
