Operating System: macOS 26.0 Tahoe

If jobs "complete" but nothing prints, check the driver in Printers & Scanners. If it says "HP LaserJet Series PCL 4/5", that is the problem. The P1102 can't use it.

What worked for me:

  1. Install Rosetta: softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
  2. Take Apple's HP Printer Drivers 5.1.1 package and change the version check in its Distribution file from '15.0' to '99.0' (method from the Kartones blog).
  3. Install the patched package and set the driver to "HP LaserJet Professional P1100".
  4. The driver only offers Manual Feed. Push the paper in, or press Go, when the job arrives.

Unofficial and not supported by HP. It will likely stop working after macOS 27, when Rosetta becomes limited.
