Product: HP LaserJet Professional P1102
Operating System: macOS 26.0 Tahoe
If jobs "complete" but nothing prints, check the driver in Printers & Scanners. If it says "HP LaserJet Series PCL 4/5", that is the problem. The P1102 can't use it.
What worked for me:
- Install Rosetta: softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
- Take Apple's HP Printer Drivers 5.1.1 package and change the version check in its Distribution file from '15.0' to '99.0' (method from the Kartones blog).
- Install the patched package and set the driver to "HP LaserJet Professional P1100".
- The driver only offers Manual Feed. Push the paper in, or press Go, when the job arrives.
Full steps and a script that verifies Apple's download first: https://github.com/iemrani/hp-p1102-macos-driver
Unofficial and not supported by HP. It will likely stop working after macOS 27, when Rosetta becomes limited.
