Hi @AzBob52,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with installing printer drivers on your new Mac OS.
Request you to follow the below steps to fix the issue.
Unfortunately, the HP smart app is not available for your printer model.
Install the printer with Mac built-in driver.
Kindly refer to the steps on this link to add the printer using Mac built-in driver and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Actually, I think the problem is NOT that there is no HP Smart App for MacOS 15.1.1, but that the print driver installer (HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.dmg) will not run with MacOS 15.1.1 The error message says "This update requires macOS version 15.09 or earlier . From what I've read, the installer simply needs to be re-coded to work with MacOS 15.1.1 (and hopefully other future versions of MacOS 15).
If the installer (and the print drivers) would work with MacOS 15.0, I assume it will also work with 15.1, so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue. If HP could just recode the installer, it would allow the installer to work with my new Mac mini (which does NOT have the HP drivers pre-installed, and the Migration Assistant did NOT transfer over the drivers).
Thanks!

Hi @AzBob52
Ok, thank you for following the instructions 😇
So, then just go to Mac Preferences > Settings > Privacy & Security and enable HP drivers.
When you install the printer try to find the driver for something like "HP Laserjet Professional P1100w"

Thank you for trying to help. I have been to the Mac Preferences > Settings > Privacy & Security and enable HP drivers and again seems to be a driver for every HP printer except the Laser Jet P1102w. It is just not on the list of supported drivers.

I ran into this issue as well. I dug into the problem, and it looks like the installer for the driver is written poorly and checks the OS version number wrong. The computer I had problems with was on 15.0.1, and a minor OS update should not break a driver.
Anyways, I edited the install script for the driver and removed the version check entirely. You can get the file on my drive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TmoBZy_MzP3moaF1Rq9gUdWKUUkdq-o5/

Hi @AzBob52
Thank you 😊 for doing the instructions.
1. Ok, then try with the next Universal Laserjet Postscript driver:
2. Look for install Laserjet Professional 1100w
3. And looking for another alternative try then try to search for "hp 1022" driver.
