HP Recommended

Printer not working using WiFi. Checked HP page which gave 123.hp.com. Pcmacwin contacted and fixed the printer for $199 and then sold us a firewall for 1600. We paid by check. I am now concerned this was a scam. How do I know if they have something attached to my computer besides the firewall?   The firewall came from Eagles Repair
