@Stevi97, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're trying to set up the HP Smart app and it's asking for a PIN, this usually refers to the WPS PIN or printer's embedded web server (EWS) PIN. Here's how you can find it:
Option 1: Find the WPS PIN on your HP Envy printer
- On the printer control panel, tap the Wi-Fi or Wireless icon.
- Tap Settings or the gear icon.
- Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup > PIN.
- The printer will display an 8-digit WPS PIN on the screen. Use this PIN within 90 seconds on your app or router setup.
Option 2: If it's asking for an Admin PIN (EWS)
Some HP printers have security features that require an Administrator PIN to access settings via the HP Smart app or Embedded Web Server.
To reset or retrieve this:
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
- Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
- If prompted for a PIN, check the printer label (usually on the back or inside the cartridge access area) for a "PIN" or "Administrator password".
- If you can't find it, you may need to restore the printer to factory defaults and set it up again.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
