It sounds like you're facing difficulties with your printer driver for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check for Windows Updates: It's possible that some updates are pending on your Windows system that could affect printer functionality. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and then clicking on Check for updates.
Use HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant can sometimes have drivers that Windows Update does not yet have. It’s recommended that you use HP Support Assistant to install any missing or outdated drivers. You can launch HP Support Assistant by clicking on the Start Menu > All Apps > HP Help and Support > HP Support Assistant.
Download the Latest Driver from HP’s Website: Visit the HP support page and search for your OfficeJet Pro 8710. Download the latest driver and software for your model directly from there.
Reinstall the Driver:
- Uninstall the current driver: Go to Devices and Printers in the Control Panel, right-click on your printer, and choose Remove Device.
- Install downloaded driver: Run the driver installation file and follow the instructions on-screen.
Check Device Manager for Conflicts: Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start Menu and choosing Device Manager. Look under the Print Queue to see if there are any error messages or conflicts.
