Hi @praveenkaushikd,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that your HP Smart Tank 521 printer is not working properly. There could be several reasons why your printer is not functioning correctly, and some basic troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

Here are some steps you can take to try and fix the problem.

  • Check the printer's power source: Ensure that the printer is connected to a reliable power source and that the power cord is firmly plugged in.
  • Check ink levels: Make sure the ink tanks are filled with enough ink to print. If not, refill the tanks and try again.
  • Run a print head cleaning cycle: The print head may be clogged, which can cause print quality issues. Running a print head cleaning cycle from the printer's menu can help clear any blockages.
  • Check for software updates: Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can check for software updates on the HP website.
  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for error messages: If there are any error messages on the printer's display or on your computer screen, make note of them and look up the solutions in the user manual or on the HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
