Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an HP Printer Offline Issue! 

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.  

  

When your HP printer, such as the HP 2723e, is showing as offline, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer, computer or mobile device. Unplug the printer's power cord for at least 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn on the devices.
  • Restart your router if you're using a network printer.

Check the Network Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer. The Wireless light on the printer should be solid blue if connected properly.
  • On your computer or mobile device, confirm it is connected to the correct network.

Check Wi-Fi and Ethernet Connections:

  • Move the printer closer to the router to ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • If connected via Ethernet, verify the cable is securely connected and undamaged. Ensure the Ethernet port lights are indicating a stable connection.

For USB Connection:

  • Ensure the USB cable is directly connected to the computer, is less than 3 meters (9.8 feet) long, and is undamaged.

Run Diagnose & Fix Tool by HP for Windows/macOS:

  • Download and open the HP Smart app. Use the 'Diagnose & Fix' feature to automatically troubleshoot issues.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the printer control panel or the HP website to download the latest firmware updates and install them.

Reset Print System (macOS only):

  • Go to Printers & Scanners, right-click your printer name, and select Reset printing system. This will remove all printers and you will need to re-add the HP 2723e.
