Printer has been up and running for a year. Nothing was changed except maybe a forced windows update. Printer says ready, go to print and it says error. Print test page it gets error, HP print doctor second "internal" page prints fine. At anytime I can read the ink levels. Other computers can print just fine just not this primary one. PLEASE HELP.
Done the powercycle, unplug, uninstall, reinstall, all the basic and HP recommended crap.

I have the identical problem. Was able to print from the IP address web site of this printer, and also from other PCs on my Network. I have changed nothing (maybe a required Windows update) and have spent days - a few hours at a time, trying to diagnose, install HP diagnostic products, removing and reinstalling drivers and programs and researching endless threads.. I am not sure about KD57, but I don't have the time or energy to research and resolve an issue that is hard to imagine even exists with today's technology. Hard to believe HP does not have the ability to diagnose and correct these issues automatically, remotely. Or, if they do, why is it not readily accessible to see how to get these issues resolved??!!

I have been facing the same problem, and just got it fixed today - in my case the issue had to do with the port configuration.
1. Open Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners
2. Click on your printer and select "Manage"
3. Click "Printer Properties" in the left navigation
4. Click on the "Ports" tab.
5. My printer was using a WSD port. If yours has this selected, try clicking "Add Port", then select "Standard TCP/IP Port".
6. Port Name can be anything (I used my printer's IP address), but for "Printer Name or IP Address", enter your printer's IP address.
7. Leave everything else as is, and save / exit.
