I am trying to print Avery inkjet matte labels. "Labels" is not a choice when I choose the paper type. The closest thing I can find is "Matte Brochure" or "Matte Presentation". I am choosing Best for print quality but the labels keep jamming as they feed.  I'm frustrated that this printer doesn't have a manual feed. Suggestions???

Welcome to the HP Community --

The many Avery labels I've printed over the years generally print with a Plain paper setting.

True -- If you are attempting to print business cards as opposed to a sheet of labels, the printer might not handle that type and weight of paper even with the addition of the setting for Matte Brochure / Professional paper (180gsm).  What?  The heaviest paper for which this printer is rated is 250gsm Photo paper.

I've never had a printer with a manual feed -- I cannot comment whether a manual feed feature can encourage the printer to handle paper it might otherwise not accept.

I suggest you avoid "Best" quality at least until you can determine whether the labels can print at all.  Best slows down the print, adds more ink, and might actually give the printer a chance to misprint instead printing properly.

Might be worth a look...

Load Paper

Load 5-9 sheets of label paper face down in the tray, top of page toward the printer.

Next,

Alert the printer to the Tray and Paper Settings using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE: For your security, some settings in the EWS are password-protected. Enter the password if
prompted. This is the password you have set in the EWS or the default PIN on a label in the ink access area.
