@Fazal5, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP COLOUR LASEJET PRO MFP M283fdw.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

Resetting the password on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw to change the Wi-Fi connection involves restoring the network settings to their factory defaults. Here's how you can do that:

  1. Reset Network Settings via Control Panel:

    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Setup menu. This can usually be accessed by pressing the wrench icon or the gear icon, depending on your printer's interface.
    • Select Network Setup or Network Configuration.
    • Look for Restore Network Settings or Restore Defaults. Select this option to revert all network settings back to their factory defaults.
  2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

    • After resetting the network settings, you will need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
    • Navigate to the Wireless Setup Wizard from the same Network Setup menu.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  3. Accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

    • Once connected to the network, you can also use the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) for additional configuration.
    • Find the printer's IP address by printing a configuration page. Then, enter this IP address into a web browser on a connected device to access the EWS.

After following these steps, your printer should be back on your network, and you should be able to configure any additional settings as needed.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
