Product: HP DeskJet 2600

 Just bought HP DeskJet printer/copier. Initially was able to set it up with a few prints. However subsequent attempts to print failed because in trying to connect to the wireless system a password is demanded. I do not have the password and it was never provided to me at the point of buying

It sounds like you are trying to print by direct connect to the printer instead of over the network. The Direct connect password is usually 12345678

Wifi Direct  password is usually 12345678
