HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 All-in-One Printer

I have lost the admin password for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9020.

 

Can somebody give me advise how to proceed?

Impossible to unlock and the screen is lock for some functions

I understand how frustrating it can be to lose the admin password, especially when it locks you out of certain functions. Don't worry, we’ll work through this together!

Since the printer is currently locked, you can try performing a factory reset to restore access. Please note that this will reset all customized settings, including network configurations and saved preferences. Here’s how you can do it:

Reset via Printer Menu 

  1. On the printer’s control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard.
  2. Tap Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore.
  3. Select Restore Factory Defaults and confirm.

 

Out of curiosity, may I ask why you need the admin password? Just wondering if there’s an alternative way to help with what you’re trying to do.
