@Mia5458, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Setting a Password on HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To secure your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer and ensure that only users with the correct password can print, follow these steps:

Using HP Embedded Web Server:

Access HP Embedded Web Server:

  • Open a web browser on your computer.
  • Enter the IP address of your printer (e.g., http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) in the address field and press Enter.

Log in as administrator:

  • Click Login on the upper right corner of the webpage.
  • Enter the default administrator ID (admin). The default password might be empty, but it's recommended to set a new password for security reasons.

Navigate to Security Settings:

  • Go to the Security tab.
  • Select System Security.

Set System Administrator Information:

  • Enter a new System Administrator password and other relevant details like name, phone number, location, and email address.
  • Click Apply.

After setting up the password, only users who know the administrator password can change settings and print from the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
