Hi @JHaidermota,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To print a personal check on your HP DeskJet 3630 series printer, follow these steps to set up the printer and document for the best results.

Prepare the Check Template

  • Use software like Microsoft Word, Excel, or a check-printing software application to create a check template. Make sure to align all necessary fields such as the payee, date, amount, and signature.
  • Some check-printing software provides customizable templates specifically for this purpose, so you can download and modify one to fit your needs.

Paper and Printer Settings

  • Paper Size: Insert the check paper into the printer. Depending on the check's size, set the paper size to match the check dimensions. Go to Printer Settings > Paper/Quality and select a custom paper size if necessary.
  • Orientation: Choose Landscape or Portrait depending on the check's layout.
  • Paper Type: Set the paper type to a lightweight or regular option to prevent smudging.

Test Alignment

  • Print a test page on regular paper to ensure that everything is correctly aligned.
  • Hold the printed paper against the check to verify that fields such as the amount and payee are printed in the correct locations.

Load the Check Paper Properly

  • Place the check face down (or as required by your printer model) in the paper tray, and align it to ensure it prints straight.
  • Avoid overloading the tray; place only one check at a time to prevent jams.

Print the Check

  • From your check template, go to Print and select your HP DeskJet 3630.
  • Ensure the settings (paper size, orientation) match your check dimensions, then proceed to print.

After printing, inspect the check for accuracy and alignment. Make sure that critical information is clearly legible and that the ink has dried fully before handling.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
